Snow!

Our little apartment.

When we came to Italy, it was to hopefully get away from some of the colder weather further north in France. It didn’t work out that way. In fact, much of the peninsula was hit with cold and snow 31 December. To us, from Florida, it was a beautiful sight. We woke to small flakes dancing about in the breeze, but before long it was coming down quite heavily, and at one point we could barely make out the well just in front of our apartment. Ultimately, we received about 2-3 inches of the white stuff or “la neve” Fortunately, it didn’t dampen our New Year’s celebration feast. But that’s another story.

  1. I bet you were the first one to be down on the ground, making snow angels.

    1. HA! Not me. That stuff is cold, and we’re not really prepared for how cold it got, much less snow. I didn’t even make a snowball. Just enjoyed walking around and looking at it. LOL

  2. I’m surprised you haven’t worn out the shutter release on that camera of yours. Knowing you, you have a spare stashed in your bag.

    1. Don’t have an extra with me, but one is on standby in the States ready to ship if the need occurs. By the way, I’m up to 10,959 images on this trip, since 15 August 2014. That’s 143 days, or about 76.63 per day; but, who’s counting.

  3. Such a contrast to Montpelier. Fresh snow!

  4. Love the snow on a temporary basis. We left TN today and arrived in Jax. This evening about 7:30 PM. Enjoy your time in Europe.
